Ooooooh I want some of those cheapie cards!
I'll have a lot of cards to send. I could save up at least 20 officials and I have about 20 swap pals to send to as well.
I've been an avid Postcrosser for over 2 years and have sent a million cards so I don't know why I never got into the forum. Free time on a regular
basis is hard to come by around here. I'm Mama-Bear and Mama_Bear .
I can't wait! I was thinking of starting a new thread to see if anyone from the Toledo area wants to drive up there with me. I know there are tons
of Postcrossers in Toledo.

12 is good for as i don't really know my way around Ann Arbor very well and it will give me time to hopefully find the place. |

Time sounds good for me.
As far as a place goes, maybe someplace that has tables outside for if it's nice? Someplace where they won't care if we spend more than the usual
amount of time.
Maybe if it does turn out to be nice, we could pick something up to go and find the nearest park.

I just found this and am dancing for joy! I would really love to attend. Can we get up a time? I'm in Swartz Creek so I need to know how much driving
time I need to have. |

Oh man! I am going to be in Michigan that day anyway, but for a gathering for another of my hobbies! How can I be in 2 places about 30 miles apart
at the same time? Anyone have a machine that can make a clone? |

Ok,
So I found this place online:
http://classiccupcafe.com/default.aspx
Its like a coffee shop( So we can hang around for a few hours without bothering anyone), but they serve sandwiches and dinners, so we can all have
full tummies! Its inexpensive, and not a chain restaurant, so it will be a fun, new place to try!
Change of Plans: Heres a better place to meet with good food & close to postacrd shopping!
This coffee shop/deli is located close to U of M campus:
http://www.amersdeli.com/about.html
**So we're meeting at 12:00pm at Amer's Deli in Ann Arbor, Michigan**

Yay! Yippee! Hooray!
I'm excited. That sounds good Anelie!
Let's keep the enthusiasm up - so many times meetups fizzle out. Let's not let that happen to us!

Thanks for looking for a place for everyone to meet. May I make a suggestion? Classic Cup Cafe is located in a strip mall outside of town. If we
are looking to shop for postcards at all, it may be wiser to meet in town.
This coffee shop/deli is located close to U of M campus:
http://www.amersdeli.com/about.html
And this one is located downtown and appears to be a local favourite.

Just a thought. |

I'm familiar with Amer's and think it would be perfect -- it serves actual meals, not just coffee, but has a coffeshop vibe in that it's OK to stay
for long periods of time.
The store I used to buy postcards in while in Ann Arbor no longer exists, but I think there are other places near downtown/campus.
So so excited about this! |

Cool! As people start to confirm that they are going, you could add their names to that post as well. This will show others that, "hey, people are
going, maybe I should go too." The week of the meet-up, I'd be
willing to even give the restaurant a call to say that there will be a group of us showing up. |

Guess what? I just received an official card today from the 2011 Postcrossng Taiwan Meetup! I was so excited! I never received a card from a meetup
before. There were about 20 different signatures and most wrote in both Chinese and English. So very special and cool. I'll be sure to take his
address with me to the meetup so I can return the favor!
Just thought I'd share since it seemed like such a cool coincidence! The card is TW-290390. If you click my blog or Flickr it'll be the first card
on there, in case you want to see it.
Have a great weekend,

Thanks Anelie for your msg. June 11 works well for me as well.
You can add me to the list.
A few months back I received a postcard from my friend who attended a postcrossing meetup! It came all the way from Malaysia!
It was definitely a great surprise and I intend to send her one back! |
