Happy Friday everyone! (Thought I'd join in too ) No snow here,
it's quite mild. Woke at 3.30 because there was thunder and lightning. It was still going on at 4.15. Don't feel too good now for not sleeping. |

Yes we got snow, but not as much as we had in November/December 2010. |

Would anyone be interested in having the British Isles RR back up and running again? |

Hope to see lots of you there (I've started with a couple of easy groups!), and please let me know if you want any groups set up (or indeed if I'm
doing it wrong!)

OH won a pot plant at a whist drive last night. On the wrapper it says 'House plants are not suitable for consumption'. Who in their right mind
would try to eat a Begonia? |

Did you get the miniature lenticular sheet of stamps too?
Dunno about Christmas cacti, but I have a peyote at my mum's! |

No, I only got the 1st class. Our PO has really limited supplies, just 2 sheets of the 1st class, but luckily they keep some for me. |

In theory, they can order more stamps....
Rang my nice sub-postmaster up yesterday to say I was coming - he wasn't aware that yesterday was issue date and the post office/RM hadn't sent a memo
out. No sign of a calendar yet either.
I also obtained a couple of sheets from past issues - 60p and 67p. At a different post office, obtained loads of 9p stamps (think these have/will be
withdrawn from post offices). |

Our postmaster is a grumpy ... but luckily I know the ladies that work there. I hate to think what he would say if I asked for "more"!! They often have to hunt down where he's hidden the new issues and
haven't a clue when they are due out or about future price rises. |

My PO is a bit useless at that too. They always have the new issues but still locked away as they don't realise when the release dates are. Although
I wasn't able to get the new ones yesterday as I was out and about wedding dress shopping instead |
