hello, the site of poscrossing is not working properly...
I want to send and I can send 1 card and I ask for a new address, after some time appear the message that I already sent all the card I can. But I
didn't receive the address not on the site not in the e-mail. I fount the address only in the menu sent cards (print the address).
After that I try to register a card but I can't because the site is down...

@ma7mak: Was that today (April 27th)? When you say "the site is down", can you give more details? What does it display? |

To me, postcrossing.com is slow the whole day - two different computers, three different browsers...

@nordbaer: Not sure if it was related, but in the last couple of days there was some minor hiccups (mostly delays) with our database but I have
optimized some of the queries and things seem more smooth now. Keep reporting if it still feels slow and if so, how much is slow (in seconds). Cheers! |

Could be, because it was not constantly slow yesterday, more the delays you described.
No hiccups so far today...

The whole day postcrossing.com has hiccups for me.
When I log in, an error message appeared saying the site could not be loaded - I have to press F5 and log in again. Not always, but most of the time.
Also sometimes when I want to visit a certain card or user.
Happens with 2 comps and 4 browsers (AOL, IE, Chrome, Firefox) |

@nordbaer: my bad - due to a code update I did today, the login functionality could be broken under certain scenarios - should be good again. Sorry
about that . |

The last 2 days i have troubles with uploading the image.
When i have the file and then i want to upload and than press the upload-button,the link to my computer has gone,so the file can't load.
Is it due to my computer? Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. |

I can't open poscrossting main site for a couple of days now. All I see is text OCKFR1 when I open it. It was working fine just last week. Did it
happened to somebody else? Any idea how to make it work again? |

I've been having constant problems for few days with Opera browser. The Postcrossing pages are not loaded at all, all I get is an error page
("Connection closed by remote server"). I have been patiently waiting for 3 days or so. Now I tried Firefox and the site is working perfectly.
Basic tech info:
OS: Win 7 64bit
Browser: Opera 11.50
Connection: cable, no proxies |

@Sirpale: We don't have any customization for Opera and, as you say, it does work with other browsers. I did some googling and there seems to be
something about Opera - just google for "opera Connection closed by remote server" and you'll get many results with complaints by Opera users.
I disabled output compression for Opera browsers on the forum - can you check if it improved the situation for you? If that doesn't work, I'm afraid
there's not much else we can do on our side - the issue seems to be on Opera side afaik. |

Postcrossing was on Dutch TV today and we had large a large spike of load on our servers during that period - that's the likely cause of that issue
but all should be good again now. |

As for me, postcrossing.com got slower and slower during the last weeks.
Maybe this is because of a pleasant fact - a lot of new members? |
