Can somebody help me translate?
I got a thank you message for one of my cards, but it is in Japanese. Would somebody be willing to help translate it for me? Thank you!

Hello, gringalais!
This is my poor English translation, but please bear with mine.
"Thank you so much for your lovely card!
It is the first time that I have known about Mr. Pablo Neruda.
There are many statemen.
Please enjoy your penpaling life. See you then"
This is almost all about the message that you have got, I guess.
Thank you! |

"Thanks for a nice card!
know who Pablo Neruda was the first time;
Some people like politicians and many more.
So a good Penparuraifu! ! "
This is what I got when translated |

sunny2000usausa, not a very good idea to copy & paste from one of those on-line (machine) translators. They are not accurate, and besides,
gringalais can use them, too.
gringalais, go with Cockie's translation. I second that |

Okay, thanks, I tried also copying in a translator, but it didn't make much sense. I actually work sometimes as a translator and have always been
distrustful of the online translations.
He was an ambassador, so I guess the statesman line that Cockie mentions refers to that.
Thanks to all that tried to help. |

I'm not good at English so it may be hard to understand...
"Shimokita Peninsula / Cape Shiriya Lighthouse
Cape Shiriya located on the northeastern tip of Shimokita Peninsula and opposite to Cape Esan of Hokkaido.
Here is a dangerous sailing zone because there are many sunken rocks, besides an ocean current is fast and many days are foggy.
the lighthouse which have two million candelas on the cape is the brightest in our country." |

Hello postcrossers,
I would like to do a swap with a Japanese postcrosser who cannot speak English and uses an online tool that doesn't work too well. Can somebody help
me translate my wishes into Japanese, and if possible later on interpret what she replies? I feel too much is lost in translation this way? I would
just like to have clear communication with her
If somebody feels up to this, please U2U me.
Thank you very much |

Member PinkBear
Hello!
I was wondering if someone knows what happened to PinkBear.
Somehow she was very active, but disappeared from the forum in March.
Maybe someone knows if she's still active on the main site.
Hope she's all right.
Thanks! |

Can mail be sent in Fukushima, Japan?
Hello everyone! Indeed, I heard about the earthquake/tsunami in Japan, am I right that radiation is all around Fukushima, Japan due to the nuclear
plant? I'm just wondering because I have met a friend who lives in Fukushima, Japan and she wants to trade with me, but I'm worried about the
radiation spreading through the mail. Then again, if there was radiation, the post office wouldn't allow the mail to be shipped off, right? Can
somebody help me understand this issue? Thank you very much! ^^
My prayers and thoughts will always remain with Japan and everyone! Keep Safe and Take Care! ^^
Hugs,
Yasmeen

ココロは まるで 空みたい...
A heart is like the sky
くるくるくるくる
Round and round and round

It has many different faces (expressions)
Hope that helps |

I don't think you can order them from overseas. I checked the website, it's free to make an account but they only deliver inside Japan
The only way would get someone to purchase them and send them to you somehow. Hope that helps! |

In Taiwan we could purchase Japanese stamps from those "stamp-collector shops" with a higher price. Maybe you could see if there are any such shop
there in Czech. |

Inintalics, thank you so much! Tried to translate it on my own, but
some words had multiple meanings - I translated "空" as "empty" and wasn´t sure about what was the real meaning of the sentence, now it is clear
to me. |

英語でごめんなさい。
Is there anywhere in Tokyo to buy the previous gotochi cards?
My local post office has the Ueno Zoo one, but I don't like it much.
I especially want to get the 2009 card.
A collectibles shop, or stamp shop perhaps?
What would be a good neighbourhood to look in?
thanks |

I think it depends on the post office. I'm not sure if they sell them outside post offices. I recently went to a large one in Nerima and they had
stocks of past ones. The airport also had three kinds
Hope you find the one you're looking for soon! |
