People who have not logged on for over 6 mths or a year?
I'm curious about post crossers who have not logged on for months or over a year who have NOT made their profile inactive.
Can people still recieve their address?
One person I sent a card to has not logged on for nearly 9 months and I'm wondering if other postcrossers can still recieve this person's address if
they have not made their profile "inactive".
I recieved their address after they stopped logging on.

I think your account is automatically set to "inactive" if you don't log on for a prolonged time. If I remember correctly it's after 1 month. After
that your address will not be given out any more. How long ago did you receive the address of this inactive person? |

I have checked this user and you got their address while they were still active in March.
They logged in several times after that and registered another 24 postcards up until late June which was several months after you got their
address.

I have some confusions about some user for a long time.
It's obvious that some users are not login PC for a couple of months. The majority of them maybe never play PC again. But Postcrossing system still
let me send cards to these uses. Just because these uses received cards < sent cards. Finally most of them expired!
I really hate these uses.they waste my time and postcards. |

Postcrossing automatically makes an account inactive after a short time of the member not logging in. You will not get their address.
I think if you go and look at the members profile and compare the date you got their address to when they were logged in last you will find it is
within a short time of that log in. At that point in time they were still active. |

A member becomes automatically inactive after a month he/she was last seen, right? |

skewed numbers
After three years enjoying Postcrossing and an extremely-well managed site, I do believe , based on my own research, that the list of active
participants is misleading. Additionally, the number of active countries is inaccurate. I do wish that managers would cull the names of thousands of
inactive members along with erasing names of countries which do not participate beyond someone mailing one post card in the distant past. |

I totally agree with hmthompson!!
You see the list of countries participating and think oh wow, I will get cards fromsome really unusual places but then if you look further, you see
that out of the ten profiles, not one of them has logged in in over a year. So really, that country is not participating so should be taken off.
I think if after 6 months, your profile hasn't been logged into, it should be automatically deleted from the list of users so theres an accurate
number. Out of the 330 off thousand people with an account, I bet its closer to 100,000 active users |

So, if a member is inactive for one month, does the card I sent them automatically become expired or is it registered? |

Neither. Your card will expire after two months of travelling without being registered. A card is only registered automatically if the member to
whom you sent the card actually deletes his/her profile, or if the administration deletes the profile. |
