Ipswich 2nd meeting - 10th September 2011
Yesterday I met Coffeedoff in Felixstowe and we would like to host a Postcrossing meeting in Ipswich on a Saturday in September 2011.
Who would like to join us?
Which dates can you make, and which dates can you not make?
I can't make the 17th and there's a postcard event in London on September 3rd so let's aim for the 10th. |

Thanks for the U2U.
I'm up for it & to date have a blank diary in Sept. Not sure of date that my Yr 2 at UCS starts, late Sept or early Oct so needless to say I'll
be driving in & out of Ipswich & hence will be in Suffolk then. To those unaware of UCS, it's University Campus Suffolk & I'm doing a BA
(Hons) in Photography. |

It looks like the 3rd is inconvenient and I can't make the 17th, so let's go for Saturday September 10th.
I propose the same meeting place as the first meeting, i.e. Caffe Nero at the end of the Buttermarket (at the junction of Upper Brook Street) in
Ipswich at 10.30 a.m. That will give us time for a coffee before we go off in search of postcards, maybe visit Christchurch Mansion. |

Both my husband (steven_74) and myself would love to join again another meeting in UK, as long as it is not too far away driving from Dover (we always
come over with the car by ferry).
10th of September will not be possible but keep me updated if you have any future meetings in the UK organised.
Best regards,

Just back from the meeting. Six of us were there - Coffeedoff, Tria, Elcmae, Aud, Tyomitch (who came all the way from Melksham in Wiltshire for the
meeting!) and myself. We swapped and signed lots of cards, then three of us had a walking tour of the town centre followed by a visit to Christchurch
Mansion. It was a most enjoyable day and we plan to have regular meetings in the future. Hopefully the next will be in March 2012. |

Sadly I couldn't make it to Ipswich last Sat as I was in Ipswich Hospital. The night before I was involved in a car accident & had to stay in
hospital until I had an EEG test & that was on Mon.
It appears at about 7.20pm I might have had a seizure whilst driving along the Walpole to Bramfield road. Yes, I was on my own & was driving back
home. I had phoned Sally at 7pm & said to her that I was on my way back but at about 8pm she got a couple of Police Officers knocking on our
door.
Car is a right-off but that was the Fire Brigade cutting it up so that I was taken out on the spinal-board. It appears I drove slowly for about 75
feet through a hedge.
Soon the EEG report will be sent to my GP & from then I'll get to know more about what happened.
I can't drive for another 3 weeks & year 2 for BA (Hons) Photography starts at UCS, Ipswich, on Mon so train journey from Sudbury to
Ipswich....great, not.... |
