[LISTING 2] List of Tentative List Postcard Collectors by number of sites collected
Here is a listing to encourage collection and swapping amongst us who are interested in postcards of the
Tentative List for UNESCO World Heritage.
As of May 22, 2013, there are 1,587 properties in 172 states - see official link below:
http://whc.unesco.org/en/tentativelists/
Initially, I collected tentative list with the hope that they would be converted into UNESCO World Heritage the following year or very soon.
But actually there are only 25-30 new UNESCO WHS added each year.
So the probability of a Tentative List becoming a UNESCO WHS is on an average only 2 per cent.
Some countries submitted a large number of 10-30 Tentative List. The probability for some countries like Germany, France, Italy, Spain is very much
higher.
A postcard of a Tentative List may be much harder to find than a UNESCO World Heritage because it may be less well-known or less touristy or such a
postcard may not exist yet. Anyway, it is a challenge and great way to learn about more wonderful places on Planet Earth.
So join in the list if you are interested. Please post/update here, your userid, country you are in now and number of Tentative List which you have
collected postcards so far.
As suggested by aj-person, you can add the link to your postcard collection of tentative list to help everyone identify and appreciate the sites of
tentative list.

I checked out a new list of UK tentatives and noticed that 4 sites of my tentative collection are not on the list anymore (The New Forest,
Shakespeare's Stratford, Manchester and Salford, Gibraltar defences). Maybe I must check every card again...
My numbers decreases to 123. |

Yes, with changes in UK Tentative list, I "lost" three delisted UK tentative list but fortunately, I also "gained" three newly listed UK tentative
list - so no net change!
