OK the rough plan is this -
Fri 3rd May
Usual pub meal & chat in London in the evening.
Sat 4th May
Meet at Victoria and get bus to OXFORD for the day with the meal being somewhere in that city. Returning in the evening to London.
Sun 5th May
Meet in the morning for London card shopping, coffee etc.
Oxford has some brilliant places to buy cards and also has book shops, museums the colleges and the Alice in Wonderland shop and is just generally one
of my favourite cities. The journey from London does not take too long and is on double deck coaches so you get a good view on the way.
Those attending from England may prefer to meet us in Oxford for the day.
Obviously everything needs to be worked out properly, this is just the basic outline of my plan. Feel free to comment |

Excellent idea! And hey, only £4.50 from Swindon, compared to £30 to London! |

Oxford! I'm going to look like a proper postcard nerd, I know some of the best places to get cards here And I'll have to see if I can get everyone into my college (Magdalen,
it's one of the prettiest and biggest) for free, I know we can take a couple of people in without them minding but I'm not sure I can smuggle 20+
postcrossers through without the porters noticing But only if
people are interested!
It's time for me to start getting excited now |

Me too! Went to Oxford on Sunday for a bit of postcard shopping, but I must admit the sheer number of tourists in large groups drove me insane... |

The beginning of May isn't too bad for the big tourist crowds |

Only read about the plans now - that's a brilliant idea! If I can make it to the meeting next year, I'd definitely be interested in visiting Oxford
(and being smuggled into a college )! |

I'm definitely interested in whatever plans you make for the Saturday. Personally I'd prefer to come to Oxford - I'd use the Park and Ride - rather
than London. I'll keep an eye on your plans |

There is a regular National Express service from Stansted to Oxford Brian which may help |

I think I am going to try and come to the Saturday..Oxford would be easy for me to get to I think. My husband might drive me down for the day and then
either do his own thing,l or come for the meal and postcard shopping/card writing ( If that would be Ok with everyone.)
I will keep an eye on what is happening with the arrangements...it will be really nice to meet some fellow Postcrossers. I sometimes have joint
problems and get a bit tired, so I was a little anxious about a big hike around London, but Oxford seems more manageable. I have never visited one of
the colleges, so that would be great if the opportunity comes up :-)

I couldn't make it this year, but have noted next year's date in my calendar. Hopefully I'll be able to plan better this time! |

I will open the proper thread for 2013 after Christmas, but London and Oxford seems to be a winner
Keep posting here and making me smile We may well have our first
postcrosser coming from Norway as well attending.
You thought the first three meetings were good, this will be better ! |
