I am currently in college studying to become an elementary teacher at Augsburg College in Minnesota. Many of our assignments are similar to those that
we would give to our own students once we are actually teaching. For one of the classes I am taking this term, I was given several choices for one of
my assignments. The one I am choosing to do is a fun one, but I need your help!!
There is one fun assignment for elementary students called “Flat Stanley.” What students do is color and cut out a picture of Flat Stanley – a
character from a story. They then mail Flat Stanley to a “host” which is a friend or family member that lives somewhere else. The person that receives
Flat Stanley takes pictures of Flat Stanley at all the miscellaneous places he travels to with his “host” on his visit. It could be at the grocery
store, it could be at the person’s own home, it could be at a famous landmark. Anywhere and everywhere!
I need to do a similar assignment for my college homework. What I need to do is send anyone interested in helping me out a picture of myself. You then
have to “take me with you” everywhere you go that week, and then report back to me about all my experiences. In reality, you don’t actually have to
take a picture of me with you everywhere you go. You can simply email me back and tell me everything “we” did during the week. However, if you’d like
to take my picture and take pictures of me “on my travels” that would be amazing !! I could easily do this assignment with one of my friends here at
home, but I think it would be really cool to get a variety of people from around the world!!!
