expired card "marked received" but didn't arrive!

What do I do when someone marked the card I sent as "received" although the card didn't arrive?
The receiver did this after my mail for asking of my card didn't come or of there were problems with the ID or something. Didn't sent the email before the card was expired.
It wasn't my intention to mess up with the statistics!
Any sollutions?

I would say you thank the receiver for registering your card ;) . It is their decision to go against postcrossing advise and register a card they didn't get (yet). As long as you didn't 'pressure' them into registering your card there is no problem (at least not in my eyes). If it makes you feel better you can ask the receiver if they want you to re-send the lost card.

Next time when you ask, tell only about the motive of your card and don't send the ID with your message.
.
So the card can't be registered.
