I sent 10 yesterday and today.
5 to Germany
1 each to Taiwan, China, Netherlands, Brazil and Russia

Russia must be caught up! Either that or I have already sent to so many Russian users that they can't find one I haven't sent to. :P:cool:

I've not done repeated countries for a few weeks because, unusually for me, I have more than 3-4 cards going at the same time, and I find that it does increase my chance of getting new countries if I send when I have others going. I feel a bit guilty though. But since the last two posts saying that there is not much Russia going at the moment, I might wait longer... I guess it's "love and hate" with Russia, the time and the high rate of lost cards are terrible, but I do love to send there (and practise my Russian).

I requested addresses with repeated countries ticked twice this week and got a lot of Russia again:

7x Russia + 1x USA
8x Russia + 1x USA

Almost like it used to be. ;)

@siobhan
"Russia is back" for you because you don't send cards within your own country...
3/4 cards for me are to Germany with or without repeated countries !!! :lol: :frog:

We picked the repeat countries option because our cards are on a display and every card has a reader. There is a large Chinese community here so the ones from China are very popular. There was a map on the display so people could see exactly where the cards were from but there wasn't enough room for both the map and the postcards.

I sent a card to rural South Africa and expected it to expire (although I was hoping it would be registered before it dropped off the system after one year). It was registered in only 57 days!

Feels good, doesn't it?

A couple of weeks ago I was the first receiver to register a card for a new account from Germany belonging to a child.

45,5% of the cards I sent are to Germany and 27,3 % to Russia

1 card on the way to Germany and 2 to Russia

a little bit more variation would be nice.

Please check your settings: Have you activated the box for "Repeated Countries"?
Please don't activate that when you are a Newbie ;)

Settings ---> Profile ---> scroll down ---> Preferences:
Check if you prefer to have several postcards traveling to the same country at the same time <--- don't do ---> do

Lately I requested 70 addresses.
I had five travelling at that moment, one of them to DE
The first five not checking the box, I received one DE address
The next 65 checking repeated: 56 to DE, 9 for RU US FI JP

20 of the mailed out cards where registered at day 4!

:shocked2::shocked2::shocked2::shocked2::shocked2::shocked2:

Then it looks like it's true that these days "repeated countries" gives you a lot more DE than RU! (or US). I had this theory but I send less so I couldn't see this on such a large scale!

It's great that they are so fast!

In December we Germans write a loooot of cards for "Postcards for a Good Cause" and so our addresses are going out and out and out :D
I've sent the last week more than 100 cards and there are Postcrossers who have written more.
