Hello! I live in a small place in the ' Eifel ' of Germany.
I want to propose a marriage to my long-time friend.
So I'm asking you to reply to me with a postcard that says:
"Melanie, marry him!!! "
I would like to receive as many cards from all over the world as possible. To make a book out of it.
I am happy about any kind of postcards.

I live in Washington State and I'm an aspiring writer. I have traveled to Japan, Canada, Costa Rica, Tanzania, and France, and I hope to do more
traveling soon, until then I will be happy to get postcards which is the next best thing. Some of my other hobbies include hiking, candle making, and
raising bonsai trees.
Some postcard themes I'm particularly interested in include:
Art
History
Museums
Landmarks natural and man made
Local flora and fauna
Folklore
National and regional heroes
Holidays, festivals and celebrations
City landscapes
Anything to do with your city / region specifically
I found out about Postcrossing on Facebook and it sounded intriguing. I used to be an avid stamp collector for a few years, but gave it up because it
got to be too expensive and setting up albums was very time consuming; but I still have all of my stamps in storage. My interest in stamp collecting
was the art, I really liked having miniature art from all over the world. So postcard collecting is a natural replacement for me since its much
cheaper. |

Hello!
I'm Bill, I was trying to figure out how on earth to get a postcard from every continent and then it hit me: somebody should have an online service
about this already!
My hometown, Patras Greece, organizes a citywide treasure hunt every winter.
This years task, among others, is to find one postcard from every continent (including Antartica!!) stamped in 2019. You get points for each
continent.
The game is fun, we participate in huuuge groups (hundreds of people in each group) and we run up and down the streets trying to solve the puzzles.
So, that led me here, to postcrossing, which sounds like an amazing service and one that would have never come to my mind.
Going out to send my first card to Germany!

A big welcome to Fay, Zomise, Kevin, Susanna, Alyona, Anna, Zoey, Tessombra, Marisa, Rasya, Juanan, Kazpon, picketfence4, maya_zenzen, Sven,
DenverGarcia, Mami and Bill
Alyona -
one way to use Postcrossing to improve your English is to join in with a tag that is more about writing a long message, rather than
just collecting lovely pictures, such as this one: https://forum.postcrossing.com/viewthread.php?tid=77591
Bill -
good luck with your game! |

Your town sounds like a lot of fun! Never heard of something like the Carnival of Patras before. I love learning such interesting things through
Postcrossing. A few years ago I also learned through a penpal that Russia has something called Maslenitsa, which is basically a week for crepes and
pancakes.
And talking about traditions, today is Candlemas here in Mexico! It's a Catholic festivity, families gather to pray and have dinner and there's candy
all around to be handed out. My mom and I spent a good while yesterday assembling candy bags for the reunion we're attending

Hi!
My name is Emiliano and I live in Rome, Italy.
I am a journalist and a translator and I love traveling.
I am totally new to the concept of postcrossing but it seems a nice hobby to start and maybe also an interesting way to get in touch with other people
from different backgrounds and cultures.
My other passions include cuisine, literature and collecting world coins.
I will mostly send postcards from my town (Rome) but in some cases - mostly on request - I could send from the Vatican City (with Vatican stamps,
different from the Italian ones, as the Vatican City is an independent state and it has its own stamps).
