WOW. That's really what came to my mind the moment I saw it.
I think this is a very good one, so I'm in it for it.

Maybe -just my suggestion- you could propose 2 versions (one night, namely this one, and one day) and we could have both. We can gather the number of copies desired for each theme by each participant and see the total number before printing.
Could that be a possibility?

For the matching stamps, I feel personally undecided. It's surely a nice touch, so theoretically I support the idea.
I would like to see the final cost, before deciding to chip in or not.

Customized stamps cost about 20 % (+ shipping) more than actual postage value. See price list here (scroll down to bottom of page.)

But if we order a whole bunch at one time, we can get a discount, right? They've done that the ... three times that we have ordered in the past, or however many times it's been?

Yeah, we’ve got a 10 % discount 3 times (Oslo, Tofte, Tromsø) when I have emailed them and asked nicely. ;) That hasn’t been any cheaper for anyone though since we used the discount to order more stamps as «goodies». It’s why everyone got one (or more in Oslo, I seem to remember) free stamp each at these events.

We’ve ordered customized stamps more than those three times, but that’s when we got the discount. So email them and ask when you know how big the order will be. You may get 10 % off.

ohhh, that's quite an interesting piece of info :)
I guess it's worthy to ask Posten when we have a rough number.

Absolutely. To give you an idea of order size, in these three cases I ordered stamps for 10 000 kr, 7700 kr and 8500 kr. And the stamps are more expensive now, so it'll be easier to get up to those figures ;)

Hotel was booked some time ago. Yesterday I booked a train ticket from Oslo to Stavanger, will arrive at 3 pm. Today I booked a flight ticket back to Oslo as Norwegian had an offer (as they usually have every Wednesday).

Welcome again Marit!

I think it would be nice to get together for dinner on Friday evening as well. :)
If interested, could you please confirm here?
I'll keep track of the numbers in the first post.

What time do you have in mind? I'd be up for a late dinner, but it would have to be quite late, since my flight arrives 18.55 on Friday. I read it's about half an hour by bus from the airport to the city?

I am definitely interested in meeting up for dinner, but like KAS I'm not able to make an early dinner, my flight is also an evening one.

I'd like to accomodate the majority. Dinner at 8 pm is surely not late for me. And for those arriving much earlier, they can for example joining and drink something, if not hungry.

If the other participants can inform me about the expected arrival time, I can see where we stand and come with a proposal.

Up to now I got Marit, Kas and Leisha, thank you :)

Hello Phibatola and thank you for your interest!!
It hardly snows in Stavanger, it's "too warm" ;)
Plus, in the rare case where the weather conditions allow snow to fall, it becomes water in less than 1 minute.
Bring an umbrella, that's recommended, but no worries for the snow!! :)

As for the rollator, I think it should be fine because I saw few gents/ladies using it. But keep in mind that the city center is a bit bulky, as it's an old town, so it's not like rolling on pure asphalt.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to write :)

Any information yet about price of the meetingcard. I don't get any message anymore so I might miss the request for order.
Can also tell somebody me the new stamp price for 2020 for Europe and outside europe. I bought small stamps and like to have them ready for the cards by right value.

Greetings Brenda

And here we go....
.... here are our meetup- cards. As most of you wanted, I made a nighttime and a daytime card. The nightview is from Vågen - the inner harbour of Stavanger and the daytime view is from the Old Town of Stavanger.

I want to order the cards on the weekend of Janaury 18/19th. The price per card will depend on the amount of cards I order, but will be most likely between 2 and 5 NOK (0,20 to 0,50 EUR). I will "Premium paper" and "Shiny" as the paper options to make the cards not to thin.

You can order the cards with just replying on that post - let me know how many of the daytime and nighttime cards you want.

In case somebody wants a different motive - let us know asap ;) Since the Cathedrale of Stavanger gets some reconstruction at the moment, I dont have any picture from the main side of the building.
