Merdeka Day Postcard Contest

Hey everyone! We're celebrating the 49th Merdeka Day tomorrow 31 Aug 2006, and I happen to have some limited edition postcards on Malaysian flag with matching stamp (Merdeka 2003 published) and I think this is the appropriate time to give them away :D You're welcome to post your message here, if you can't come up with long message, just write "Selamat Hari Merdeka" :) and I'll choose 3 first posts made after 12:00:01 am 31/08/06 Malaysian time (+8 GMT) to receive the postcards! Okay, it's too pity but I only have got 3 cards left at the moment. Anyway, all you have to do now is to decide what time you have to make the post in your very timezone and make sure it won't be either too early or too late.

Yay!

Hey! I told you that it was map of whole Malaysia, you wouldn't get to see the transit routes and roadways in it! Even the map of Kuala Lumpur alone is too small-scaled that only helps if you're driving and get to make a trip to many places in the city. The one with transit routes that you found online was the most perfect to study :)

But if you still want the Malaysian map, I promise I'll send you one whenever I find them again :P

Haa, we had concerts, cultural performance like traditional dance, chinese lion dance, choir, orchestra, so many things and the other minute we were making countdown to 12am and said out loud "Merdeka" 7 times. It's been tradition every year since the first PM declared the Merdeka/independence in 1957. Then singing the anthem, a number patriotic songs, waving flags etc.. it sounds patrioticly boring but when you get to do it only once a year it's not really bad, you see :D Oh, and I must say that the fireworks were brilliant :)

Too bad my camera was out of battery otherwise I'd put some pics of the happenings :)

Oh, and it's 1.31 am and I am real tired since last night (we even had exam this morning, duh!). *needs for bed now* :D

Oh? :D But you know, now that I've come to get familiar with Finnish, I think they have more a's (also with dots) in their words!

Technically speaking, Ä it's not an A with two dots, it's a letter of it's own.

Sorry, couldn't resist! :D

Life in Malaysia eh.....I guess pretty much normal and the same!!! Some of us here are students, and some, like myself, is employed in the private sector. Killing office hours by being online on postcrossing and finishing my salary by buying cards and stamps!!!! :D :D

What about u?

A card from Winnipeg sounds tempting.....I'll u2u you!!!
