I'd definitely be interested in coming to a meet up in DC. I'm new to Postcrossing but already am loving it lots! I live in Western Maryland, but I'm away at university in southern West Virginia currently. I could probably make it to a meet-up around the holidays, or at certain points later on in the year. :)

Wonderful, that brings me to 3 interested individuals. :) I was worried there for a while. I would be willing to meeting up some time around the holidays but I am not sure if the other intersted postcrossers' calendars are as flexible.

I am! I live in Chesapeake, VA, about 3 hours from DC. Most weekends (Fridays and/or Saturdays), as far as I know, will work for me.

Hello everyone, I have been looking through the posts and it would seem that of all of the awesome meet ups happening across the country, there is nothing near me. That being said, I don't know if there are many postcrossers near me, so I thought I would post here and see if there is any interest in a DC, Maryland, Virginia (perhaps PA and WV too) meet up.

I know we are approaching the holiday season, ok we are already there, so we wouldn't have to do anything right away. I have some ideas that I think other postcrossers would like as far as places to visit and things to do in the area, so please U2U or post here if you have any interest in such an event.

Thank you for reading.

We are looking forward to our first Postcrosing Meetup! We are in DC every few months for work, so will definitely watch for this one! Thanks!

Awesome, the more the merrier! I hope the now that the holidays have subsided we can get something organized.

To all who have responded up to now, any ideas? Anything other than the next two weekends works for me.

I'm interested. I'm from a suburb of Philadelphia, but would be willing to drive to DC if the date works. I have a daughter living in Washington - a weekend visit is in order! Loving postcrossing.

I live in Baltimore, and my schedule is always tight, but if there is a meet-up in the DC area and I can make it, I will! I have never been to one and would love to meet some of you wonderful people in person! :)

I am always excited to learn of other postcrossers in the area (yes, I consider Baltimore to be part of the area). :) Hope we can get a date or date range ironed out and I would love to see as many people there as possible.

Hello!

I am new to the forum (as of today!) and joined Postcrossing in Nov. 2010.

I live in Washington, D.C. and would be interested in this meet!

I cannot meet the weekend of Feb. 12/13 as that is my birthday weekend :) but other times are most likely doable.

Please keep us informed!

Thank you!

Cheers

Please keep me in the loop, as I may consider flying down for the event! I've never met another Postcrosser before!

I'd also like to meet. I'm in Arlington, VA. I usually work on Sundays, but Saturdays are usually free (except Feb 12, when I work until 3:30 and exept the evening of Feb 19).

Any location that's reachable by Metro would be great.

Perhaps we should set up a National type meet-up in DC. A highlight could be the Smithsonian Postal Museum. Just a thought.

I've never been to DC and would love to go.

Yeah, that was actually going to be my main attraction once a date was finally settled upon. I am a volunteer there. :)

That's cool ifthelensfits. The postal museum was the the first attraction I really visited after we moved to the area.
