Stockholm 23.07.

I'll travel to Sweden in July and will spend some time there visiting a friend. But I'm also planning to spend a few days in Stockholm.
So perhaps there are some people interested in a meeting in Stockholm on the 23. of July (Saturday)?

That's nice, Anja!
Maybe - I am not sure what kind of Summer programme I have, but I'll keep this in mind!

akalle, that would be great! I've been to Stockholm last year already and know my way around a little bit (eg. where to buy postcards in Drottninggatan and Gamla Stan ;) ) but that's it...

It's a possibility that I could attend. But I also may be attending the meeting in Denmark... so I don't know yet since they are close together in dates.

Is there any particular place you want to see or something special to do?

Do you mean on the meeting or my weekend in Stockholm in general?

I haven't thought much about the meeting yet, just that it might be nice if I'm there anyway ;)
Maybe Skansen would be a nice place for a meeting (after some postcardshopping :P ) - I've been there twice already and really loved it but both times were in late afternoon/early evening when all the houses were closed already.

For my weekend in Stockholm I've got lots of plans, on the way from Hjo to Stockholm on Friday I want to go to see the Ironworks in ─ngelsberg (I had a look and it is quite reasonable by train...), then meeting day, on Sunday I want to do a trip to the Great Copper Mountain in Falun. For Monday I don't have any concrete plans yet besides going back to Hjo in late afternoon and visiting Skogskyrkňgarden (you might notice that I'm a little obsessed with UNESCO sites ;) )

wow you will really be occupied

I meant both generally and for the meeting
but bying postcards, especially at Drottninggatan since there are lots of shops and pretty decent prices

and then we can take a trip to Skansen, but eventually Skansen first and card shopping after, if you want to see the houses when they are open

Wow, it's quite some time since I wrote here for the last time, the last almost two months were soooo busy...

But now I can say that it is 99,9% sure that I'll be in Stockholm that weekend - additionally to the hotel train tickets from Sk÷vde to Stockholm and back are booked as well.

Well it looks like I will be in Stockholm for a week and I will be there on the 23rd of July. So I can attend the meeting if it is still happening. :)

Yes, I think we should start with that - there seem to be at least some people that are interested.

I still like the Skansen idea very much - as far as I know they have a special cancellation there at the Posthuset, do you know if that's right?
So perhaps this might be a possible program for the day:

- Meeting at what timeand where exactly (at Centralstationen?) ?
- postcardshopping: Drottninggatan and Gamla Stan
- Djurgňrdsfńrjan from Slussen to Djurgňrden
- Skansen - is there a restaurant or cafÚ where we could make a reservation to have lunch and write/sign cards?
- posting the cards at Skansen posthuset (this is open till 5pm)

What do you think about it?
Any other ideas?

Count me in! :) I'd love to come as well and meet fellow postcrossers :D I live about 40min from Sthlm. I hope my schedule will work and that nothing last-minute will happen (which sadly often does but I'll try to prevent that). I don't know much about postcardshops to be honest but I do know a interesting (wouldn't call it amazing though) and kinda shocking place in Gamla Stan which I need to show you all haha.

Hei,

We never had a Swedish group for our Meet-up RR, so if you ... perhaps .... eventually ... like to offer some cards from your meet-up for our RR :embarassed:, this would be great.

Thank you :love::love:

Nice with a postcrossing meeting in Sweden! And in beautiful Stockholm in the summertime, I wish I could go there. But live too far away from Stockholm so I can't come.
I hope you'll have a nice time! :)
