Here's a mob that obviously hasn't heard about postcrossing!

I have sent the link to Head Office... pxing could get some good publicity out of this :)

G'day Dahlia, and *W*E*L*C*O*M*E* to postcrossing :)

Click on this link Dahlia, and come and join us in the 'Australia to Australia' tag :)

https://forum.postcrossing.com/viewthread.php?tid=6931

Chill? Where are you in the wide brown land Dahlia? I'm at Lavington (a suburb of Albury, down on the NSW-VIC border) and there is a decided coolness in the air down here! :D:D:D

Today is my Postcrossing birthday!! I'm 6!!!

I usually celebrate by sending out all my available cards ... but that number has become so high I'm not sure that I can do it. Is that the price of getting older?? ;)

I'm loving the cooler Autumn weather here in Wagga - but I'm a Pom, so I'm built for it!!! I haven't even busted out a proper jacket yet hahaha! I am looking forward to wearing one here, as I didn't wear one at all in the 4 years we lived in Brisbane :D

Whenever my Aussie other half tells me it's cold, I shake my head at him and say "Pfft! Don't you remember that Christmas we were in England, when I had you shovelling snow from the driveway, and it was -6 degrees at midday?! *That* was cold!" :D

Still, I can't stand the relentless summer days of 34 degrees plus, so it's horses for courses I think!!!

This is my first winter in Albury and I am having a bit of a problem with the cold weather. The wind seems to be coming straight from the mountains where it is snowing. Its a lot different from living up on the north coast.
I love it here though, maybe next year it will be easier.

the sun shines here today - had lovely drenching rain yesterday

postallove has released the australian card in the 'greetings from' series
is anyone interested in joining together to place a bigger order and sharing shipping charges?

https://www.postallove.com/Postcards/Greetings-from/Greetings-from-A...

those of you who know me know i am more a purple and blue kind of girl, so the brown colour of this card doesn't do much for me.....
but of course this series is popular and gaining more fans by the day

;)

I ordered 25 yesterday :D and it should work out at around $21.50 with postage.
I hope its enough! :D. I'll be mainly using them in the RR's etc on the forum.

I have ordered from Postallove twice before and am very happy with their service, the cards are well packed, it takes about 2 weeks for delivery and they also throw in a couple of extra cards. :)

I'm not collecting the set myself but it seems to be all the rage in the swap section. An excellent marketing idea though!

here is a pricing guide

it looks like 50 cards at once is the best option

5 cards @ 7.90 euro/ $au 11.13 = $2.226
(azzi) 25 cards @ $21.50 = 86c
30 cards @ $au 22.84 (today's exchange rate) = 76c
50 cards @ $au 32.43 (today's exchnage rate) = 65c

the cards are 32euro/45c each plus shipping which is almost as much as the cards...

for your consideration
;)

I used 0.67euro to AUD$1 as I paid by credit card and they always take off 3% or so more. I'm not sure what they do with Paypal.

You didn't get your 25 that you said you were going to? indigoangel

I wonder how many they make and how long they take to make the next lot.

I originally put an order for 100 and it was available but needed my prepaid CC to put the order through. But because of the fluffing around when I finally was able to order there was only 26 left and then after my order I saw the SOLD OUT sign appear.
Let us know when they reprint.
Bridget

@ Azzi, BridgetLarsen, indigoangel, Mundoo

Perhaps a visit to this site will suit your purposes? There are 2,000+ designs to choose from, or you can design your own

50 cards for $20 (40c each) but that includes postage

http://postcard.pics-sydney.com.au/

The printery is run by a postcrosser, Laurent4
