Thanks Mr T,
We were specifically looking for the GF Australia ones, and I dont think Laurent makes them.

Perhaps a visit to this site will suit your purposes? There are 2,000+ designs to choose from, or you can design your own

50 cards for $20 (25c each) but that includes postage

http://postcard.pics-sydney.com.au/

The printery is run by a postcrosser, Laurent4

Which was why I mentioned 'or design your own'

He'll make them... you only have to ask :)

You can cut out the 'middleman' if you want because Laurent uses Vistaprint for his printing.

I met him and we had a good chat.

Now we're getting somewhere!!!

We have a card designer among our number (she lives in the seafood capital of QLD)

There is bound to be a printer near one of us!

If BL will design the card, and we can all agree to buy a BIG batch at first, we can approach a printer and do a deal!

I'm in for 50 straight up :)

Actually Claudia had all her 30 same messages removed from the Forum.

She spammed it everywhere. She is also currently posting banned until she re-reads the Forum Rules, especially the one where it says: Only do one message on one topic, don’t put the same message in multiple sections.

She has understood and agreed and so her posting ban has been lifted.

Hi everyone
Wasn't sure where the best place to post this is but I'm curious about sending one of the Anzac postcards from AustPost. I bought a pack but have only used two, one in a private Military swap and the other went to Taiwan. I am always unsure about sending them to countries like German which I have as my newest destination this morning. Thoughts?

I only send military/war themes to people who request them, and of my 344 sent cards, only two have been to members who asked for this type of card. If someone asked for historical events, ANZAC cards would certainly fit the bill. I would not send cards relating to either of the World Wars to Germany.

Does anyone want to swap an GF Australia for a GF Australia with me, written in?

I dont want to keep a blank card LOL. the only thing I dont like about the design is the sun at the very top, every time I take a photo of it I think the glare is from the light in my room LOL

Tara you know you can track it from the receipt they sent you. Mine took 10 days to get here from the date it left Poland.

Have any of you ever tried to take stamps off a postcard without ruining either? How did you do it?
Thank you in advance

I just sent my quickest postcard, it arrived in Netherlands in 6 days! Germany also similarly quick, 7 days. Is it the efficiency of their postal systems?

Because the card is in 'layers', you can cut the top layer off around the perforations... use a craft scalpel, obtainable from hobby shops... then you can 'soak' the stamp off and glue the bit of cardboard from the back of the stamp back on :)

Thanks Mr T,
I tried not to ruin the postcard so I had a kettle boiling water and put the stamp side over the spout and the stamp started to curl up off the postcard, I got a sharp knife and helped it along and it came off perfectly. The postcard curled of course and so did the stamps but I can flatten them.
