Litzmannstadt was a German name for £ód¼ during the Second World War and I`m quite sure that the city from address is Ochtrup, Westfalen :)

Ochtrup Westfalen was also the only place I could come up with that still exists today (could have been a place in Westpreußen as well, that would have been harder to Google). Sorry for the blank, but that handwriting really is a challenge.

Hello!
I've started to learn German and now I'm really interested in German culture. I know that German users are one of the most active postcrossers. Can someone please explain me if there are any reasons for that?
Danke! :)

Reasons why Germans are so active?
Very efficient postal system that usually is very quick.

Paulo and Ana, the founders, lived in a Berlin for a while. Especially during that time, a lot of advertising and collaborations started. For example, the Schöning Verlag (largest tourist card printer in Germany) is one of them. They even advertise postcrossing on the back of the little paper bags you get when (for example) you buy postcards in a bookstore.

And we like seeing mail. Might just be that simple. Postage (stamps) is also fairly inexpensive compared to other European countries.

I collect Snoopy and Peanuts Gang postcards and I am looking for the cards that are published in Germany like Heye and Butlers. I can swap for them or pay for them.

If you want to swap, here is my album (many more have not been scanned):

Thank you!

Hi dear German postcrossers :) Is it too early to ask if anybody would be interested to meet me in Berlin in July? I have already booked my trip and I will be there 3.7.-7.7. I would love to attend to a meeting. At Sunday (5.7.) I'm going to Olympic Stadion to see Rammstein, but maybe Saturday 4.7. would be a good day?

Hi, dear German postcrossers!

I wanna print stickers with my address on it, do you have any recommendations of internet shops? Is this thing called Adressaufkleber?

Thanks a lot!

Yes, that's Adressaufkleber.
Vistaprint does those for example, but they aren't really cheap. They start with a good offer and then add fees for so many things...

Maybe https://www.etikettenprint.com is an alternative - but I've never tried them. They offer 500 simple address stickers für 10€, shipping included.
