Hi to all you German folk :) I have a bit of a weird question for you all, I was wondering if any of you knew where this house/building is-

GEDC8756.JPG - 119kB

I know it's a VERY long shot, I know it's somewhere in Southern Germany. Any ideas as to the area or place, maybe this building is in a style that's common to a certain city?

Any help would be very very appreciated :)

Thanks :)

well, this could be almost everywhere. Is there anything written on the back of the card that may give us a hint?

It's a folded card with no information. I think it might be an impossible task!

well nothing is impossible. ;) Is there really NOTHING on the card. It also might help, if there is something like a fabric on the backside of the card. Maybe you can check?

hello!
I depart to Germany soon and intend to send some cards from there. can anybody help me?
I visited the website of German post and need proof that
international postcard (to any country in the world) costs 0.75 Euro
domestic postcage for cards is 0.45 Euro.

is it right?

thanks in advance for an answer!

and one more question! is it possible to buy stamps not in the postoffices?

Hello Botwa,

you're right: international Postcard: 0,75 Euro
national Postcard: 0,45 Euro.

That means normal sized postcards. Be carefull with square cards, they costs more postage.

Most of the shops which sells postcards have stamps too. You can buy some stamps there.

have a nice time here in Germany :)

Hey!
The card says: Life is too short to spend it searching. And in the speech bubble it says: Where is my life?

According to the design I would say the card was created by the German minister and graphic artist Werner "tiki" Küstenmacher. Therefore I do not think it is an ad card.

I have a postcard of two bratwurst sausages dancing and a jar of mustard in the background. I would like to translate the caption, but Google translate did not come up with anything very sensible. The caption says:

"rostbratwürste die Thüringer mit dem verwöhnaroma"

If any member of the German community could assist, I would be very grateful.
Thanks a lot :)

Well, dict.cc translates "Thüringer Rostbratwurst" (that's the type of sausage I guess is shown on the card) as "Thuringian rib steak sausage". I guess the text could be translated as "Rib steak sausages, the Thuringians with the indulgent flavour"

Hallo liebe deutsche Postcrosser,

Hello! Our Postcrossers Club will celebrate Day of City in Russian-German House by sending postcards:) may be, somebody want to get a postcard? I think, that I can send 5 of them:)

The building, where Russian-German House is situated, is related to old wooden heritage of Tomsk. It was built in 1902, so this year it celebrates 110 y.o. This two events (Day of City and Anniversary of Building) we will mark with our postcards:)

everybody is welcome:)
