I know the week is over, I have been out of town, working and trying to catch up on homework.

All dates are at a tie. I can't do Oct 1, but if there are more people who can, I can sit this one out.

Ok, in lack of any clear and definitive solution, here is what I propose. I don't want to be the person who picks a different date and in a sense knowingly cuts people out. I will be in Old Town of Oct 8th. Whoever wants to meet me there, let me know. If someone would like to take the lead for Oct 1st, that would be great, but unfortunately, I will be out of town that weekend. And of course, anybody who is available both weekends is more than welcome to show up to both. I would love to have an ideal date that accommodates everyone, but unfortunately that is not possible.

Also, something to think about, I will be hosting another meeting in the last winter, early spring. My volunteering boss at the Postal Museum would like to do some sort of event in conjunction with one of our meet ups. More on that later, I just wanted to let you guys know what is in the works.

See you all Oct 8th. I'll post a rough itinerary within a week or so and if you have any questions, as always, please free to contact me.

Do you have an idea of time of the meet up (morning - lunch - afternoon) ?

There is a change in my schedule and I might be able to attend on Oct 8 :)

I think late morning, but you can show up and depart at your schedule dictates. We had a lot of that last time, those who wanted to come participated when they could.

Anybody up for dinner Friday night? 7 Oct? If there are more than a couple of us I can make a reservation.

UPDATE: Hello DC Area Postcrossers, On a slightly unrelated Meet Up note, I have created a DC Postcrossing group on facebook "Postcrossing - Washington DC". Please come by and check it out. Not much there yet, but I thought we could chat about awesome places to buy postcards and other more localized postcrossing topics. I know everyone appreciates their privacy, so there is no obligation to "friend" people if you don't want to. Hope to see you there.

Hi! I may be jumping the boat here at the moment... but, I may be moving to DC in the next year! I'm super excited, if so. I will keep in touch with the Postcrossing community there. Currently I am living in Washington state, and often our group get togethers aren't close enough to me so I can go to them. :(

Also, for some reason I can't get to the group, wanna put a link??

I am currently in class (shhhhh.....don't tell). I will check it out when I get home, perhaps one of the settings I selected made it unfindable in a search. Thanks for letting me know.

Oh and we would love to have you to join our community. :)

I promise I haven't forgotten about you guys, I have just been very sick. I will have an agenda up soon, hopefully in the next couple of days soon. It is going to be a loose schedule in that we can bend and flex locations as we please. More like a suggestive schedule. Anyway, am rambling now. Shall post again soon and I hope to see all of you weekend after next.

P.S. By the way, who all is planning on attending......

Can someone bring maybe two sheets of 10 cent stamps for me to the meeting? My post office never has any and sometimes the 5 cent stamps just take to much extra space on the postcards. Of course I'll bring cash to pay for them.

I can get two for you. I have a similar problem, I would love to use tons of stamps on each postcard I send, but there hardly ever is enough space unless you are sending 5x7s.

Agenda has been posted. I have made it so it is very flexible and can easily accommodate anyone's schedule. Sorry it took so long for me to get it up, but things have been bizarre and busy lately, I'll share the details on Saturday. A couple of us are planning on going to dinner on Friday, the location depends upon how many people are attending, so if you would like to join in on the fun and have not yet expressed said interest, please let me know. Only one more week, so excited!!!

It was my idea and I sent an email to petrini1 earlier today, she must not have seen it. If you are interested in dinner please let me know ASAP because I am going to pick the place dependent upon the size of the group, as I previously stated.

I already said that I'm interested in the dinner...

You're going to choose something near public transport I assume?

For those who are coming to dinner tonight:

Daniel O'Connell's @ 7:15
112 King St, Alexandria
(703) 739-1124 (restaurant #)

If you are traveling via metro, go to the King Street Station on the Yellow Line and take the Alexandria Trolly (free) all of the way down King St to the waterfront and the restaurant is right across the street.

For info on the free trolley, please visit here:
