Izmya is visiting Pacific Northwest and she will be in Seattle area next week (Aug. 12-16, Tue-Fri).
Is anyone interested in another small meet-up in Seattle?
You're welcome to attend both meet-ups, 2 weeks in a row
Post here or send me a U2U.

I would also be interested in meeting with you all next week, depending on the time and place!
I just sent a u2u to plathie, suggesting a meeting this Wednesday (august 7) at 11am at Bulldog News in the U-District. 4208 University Way NE. They
have postcards there and also at 4 other nearby stores.
If anyone else is planning to join us, u2u me and I'll send my email and phone # in case we need to contact each other on that day. |

Will Wednesday (August 14) work for you?
Where is the best place to meet? Pike Place Market or U-District?

Today was fun!
Wednesday August 14 will work for me if it's early in the day. Either location works for me as well. |

Wednesday, August 14th.
Pike Place Market.
Izmya, where in the Market do you want "the meeting point" to be?
The Flying/Throwing Fish store (Pike Place Fish Market) is famous/easy to spot, Le Panier French Bakery is good too, or maybe the Original Starbucks
(between Stewart St & Western Ave)?
fire.maggie, will the same time frame from last week (meet @11:00am) work for you?
How about you, Izmya and nancee-g? |

Sounds good! I love to meet people at The Crumpet Shop. But it's usually a little bit crowded (the first Starbucks is also usually VERY crowded). We
could also meet at Rachel the pig (right in front of Pike Place Fish Company/fish throwers), shop for postcards, then go to a coffee shop to write
them. |

Washington meetups
I have been reading this thread and would love to join/organize a Washington meetup. I am originally from the Seattle area and know it well. I make
it back to Seattle every few months, so that is always a good choice for me. I am very new to Postcrossing and am totally addicted! My greatest
frustration is trying to find fun, interesting, beautiful postcards to share, that are not just touristy. The places you are listing sound amazing
and I cannot wait to get to Seattle to explore them.
In the meantime, I was wondering if anybody would like to do a meetup somewhere else? Middle of the state, perhaps? The Centralia/Chehalis area,
although not good for postcard shopping, trust me. I haven't looked in Olympia, but would love to if anyone wanted to meet there. Or, lastly, the
Vancouver or Portland, Oregon area. The lovely lady who introduced me to Postcrossing lives in Portland and I know she would love to attend.
But, failing all of that, I am totally up for a meet in Seattle! Pike Place or U Dist, either works for me. January? February? The sooner, the
fun-ner! ~Norma L~ aka MrngGlory |
