Looking for European Postcrossers! :)

Hello Postcrossers! :)

I only have one request for help!

~
My name is Tina and I'm from Slovenia. I've been a member of Postcrossing for now over 4 years and due to my love for postcards, I am writing my final thesis about postcards. To be more precise: Influence of Slovenian postcards.

It would mean the world to me, if you could take a few moments of your time and fill out the survey that is at the connection (link), posted below. Only with your answers I can actually write my thesis, so I need as many answers of good quality as I can get.

Please, only fill out the survey if you are a Postcrossing member, obviously a collector of postcards AND that you are from Europe (your country should be on the list with other European countries (in one of the questions), if not, please don't fill out the survey).

Here is the link: The influence of Slovenian postcards
~
This would be all,
Thank You for reading this whole thing, especially Thank You for filling out my survey and, Have A Wonderful Day! :)

Happy Postcrossing!

I really fell in love with the new Swedish Christmas stamps. Can someone help me to get one of them on a postcard? I can send the German Christmas stamps with special postmark in return (or something else). ;)

Dear swedish Postcrossers,

my friend (her name is Lena) is learning swedish and visit the country for one year soon. Her birthday is at the 03/24/17 and I collect postcards in swedish for her celebration.

Is somebody interested to send me a postcard for her? :)

I will sent your favourite postcard back.

It would be very nice, if you can choose a building or something, that is typical for sweden. :d

When you are interested, send a U2U to me. :)

Happy postcrossing!

Greetings Simon from

Hej!

I have a question related to stamps :)
The other day I bought 4 stamps, and I asked for stamps to send mail to Europe. The lady gave me 4 stamps and I paid 28 kroner. I thought it was cheap and later I googled, so it appeared that to send a letter abroad costs 21 kroner. I guess the lady gave me domestic stamps. So now I am curious, would it be okay if I put three of those stamps on my envelope? Do I need a blue Priority sticker?

Please introduce me to the mail services in Sweden :) I would be thankful for private messages too. Tack!

Hej Atbraila!

Welcome to Sweden! Yes, you can use three domestic stamps for a letter/postcard to Europe or the rest of the world. You should use a Priority sticker, but if you don't have one, you can write "Prioritaire" next to the stamps as well.

Just now there is only one international stamp (a blue Drottning Silvia stamp), which must have been issued only the other day, and I think that most shops haven't yet got it. It's possible to order it at Postnords Internet shop.

You can use older international stamps, too, if you find them somewhere (at the post museum in Stockholm for example) and combine them. As long as the postage comes up to 21 kr, everything is possible. A 14 kr stamp + a domestic "brev" stamp, which is worth 7 kr, or a 12 kr stamp + "brev" + 2 kr, or...

Hello, the Swedish Postal service did during a period, had stamps for a lover cost, all was printed Privat Post, as today, the value on the stamp, is what you can use it for. Then you could send up too 100 gr within Sweden for the Privat Post stamp.
I hope this explanation is understandable

akalle, thanks a lot! I think I understand the system of inner Swedish letters with lower cost. Thank you! :)

I have a non-postcard question. My great grandparents came from Sweden to America in the late 1800's . I have some letters and postcards that were written to family members in Swedish. I've tried to translate a little of it, but am having some difficulties with many of the words. If anyone would in interested in helping me translate the items, please send me a u2u. I would greatly appreciate any help as this side of the family has always been such a mystery.

I'd be happy to send some postcards as a thank you for helping me out. You can pick the cards you'd like from me.

I hope this was ok to post here, I didn't know where else to post it.
