Today, I'm sending a postcard to a girl who lives at a boarding school. About a year ago, I sent a postcard to another girl at the same boarding school! :D

Probably not a really amazing coincidence, but I couldn't help realizing that Estonia must get quite a few postcards during the next days... just look at this, and it went on like that after I took the screenshot. :D

Today I had a déjà vu moment when a postcard landed on my doormat, it had the exact same lovely printed message stuck on it as a card I'd received only a few weeks ago, so I nearly didn't register it assuming that the sender had sent me two postcards thinking the first had got lost along the way, but then I spotted the name which didn't sound familiar. It turns out it was from another sender (they must be related) - what's the odds of them both requesting my address in such a short period of time?!

In November I sent two postcards to United Kingdom - to the same town. The people live about 6 blocks apart. It is not a big city just a medium size town. When the address came the through I sat there thinking I know that town - was it in a book? No I just sent a card there 10 days ago.

Something like that happened to me the other way around. One of my postcards to China was registered and when I requested a new address, the profile I got was almost word by word the same only one of them was male the other female. I commented on that on the card but they didn´t say anything about it in the "Thank you" message; it was exactly the same message as the first one ;-)

I recently sent a postcard to a woman in Poland who had the same name as my mother. When she registered the card, she told me her daughter had the same name as me. :D

Were they from Hoorn? I received the same type of package from two different individuals in Hoorn? Mine came about 2 months apart.

My closest coincidence is related to Netherlands. In a lapse of time no longer than 2 weeks, I've received 2 envelopes containing postcard, a piece of newspaper and a little wonderful Netherland's flag.

The note in both envelopes talks about the same town. But is not the same person with 2 accounts, looks like to different users.

In my "thank you" message, I've asked the last user about if he was related with the first user, but he never answer me.

I like cards of Paris.

Two different users from Netherlands sent me views of Paris within a few weeks from each other. The cards are the same - the Ikea card of the Eiffel Tower in the snow as if it was a Stamp.

I've received a close up of a building in Prague (Czech), I liked it really much and would love to see more of the surroundings. The next day I received a panoramic skyline view of exact the same building and it's surroundings from a different user.

LyndaC, yes. I took a look into my received gallery and yes, both users are from the same place. Maybe is the same user with 2 accounts, preferences are very similar.

Re: Hoorn
My best friends husband and family are from Netherlands so I gave the newspapers to him to take to his mother in a retirement home. One of the senders remarked that if he had to pay this much to send mail to Canada then he would send the full 30 grams and get his money's worth.

My dutch friends thought it was hilarious.

One of my cards had been travelling to Portugal for 31 days and I thought, sadly, that it had probably gone lost.

When I visited the site last night and glanced straight at the "What is happening now?" section, I saw this line moving up the screen:

"......(Portugal) received a postcard from piscean (UK)"

The recipient must have registered my item exactly as I logged in to check, and I looked at the screen exactly when it appeared there for just those few seconds. How uncanny was that?!

I have a confession....

This is going to sound really sad, but I really like to have the home screen open in another tab when scanning postcards I've received, just to see the ID go past!

Anyway, in 'coincidence' news, I received a card about three weeks ago of Turku, Finland from a Finnish lady who used to live less than 100 miles away from me, in Scotland. Yesterday, I got the address of another lady in the same city to send to. Made me smile!
