Anyway, in 'coincidence' news, I received a card about three weeks ago of Turku, Finland from a Finnish lady who used to live less than 100 miles away from me, in Scotland. Yesterday, I got the address of another lady in the same city to send to. Made me smile!

I had similar situation. I got 'hurray message' from the girl from Kiev. She wrote to me lots of wonderful words :) A while after, I drew another girl from Kiev to send to :)

Not amazing, but...

Came back from my first ever tomato-picking trip to find my first ever tomato themed postcard in my box! :P

I'm going on a short trip to Åland today and I figured I could test out sending postcards from there if the person has already received a card from Sweden, because Åland is considered a "rare" country since it only has 15 active members.

What are the chances then that I get the profile of a person who has received over 500 postcards and have actually received a card from Åland but NOT from Sweden? :P Guess I'll send that card next week instead from here XD

I was looking at all my cards and I notice that I got two cards from the same person (same user name with different number at the end)

Last week I sent a card to New Zealand. I mentioned my cousin is married to a guy from NZ with the same last name. Card was registered this morning and sure enough it is his sister. What a small world!

@Susu29: Wow, really small world!

The most amazing coincidence that happened to me until now is the following:

On April 26 this year a postcard I sent was registered in Brazil and the same day I received a postcard from Brazil.

And then on May 8 the next postcard I sent to Brazil was registered and again I also received a postcard from Brazil on the very same day.

:D

Not that big of a coincidence, but on the same day I received a "Hurray" message of a card of mine to Ireland, I received a card from Ireland that the user took to a Postcrossing meeting. Sure enough, the user I had sent my card to was at the meeting and signed it :D

Hm, I just pulled two addresses - both Netherlands (I can send 45 cards, so the system can't always give me from all different countries). They turn out to live 2.7 km from each other, according to Google maps. I wonder if they know each other...

Last week my neighbour was helping me out by doing some laundry for me as my washing machine had broken down. She's a Polish lady, and while we were chatting she mentioned that she'd lived in Germany for a couple of years before coming to my town.

On Friday, I received a postcard from a Polish lady living in the same city in Germany that my neighbour used to live in - and they have almost the same name, too!

A few years ago, my kids and I participated in a children's postcard trading group. One of the little girls we traded with became my son's penpal and they have been writing to each other for about a year.

About two weeks ago, my daughter received an official PostCrossing card from the mother of this little girl. She didn't recognise the address until we registered the card and sent her a message. She said she thought it looked familiar, but didn't make the connection.

Teeny-tiny world! :)

Not an "amazing" coincidence, but today I received a card from a member to whom I had sent a card that got lost (I was still new on Postcrossing, almost two years ago).
And some time ago I received two cards from Germany that both showed Neuschwanstein castle. (^_^)

I've received the official postcard of a taiwanese high school twice - first from a student of it, later from a teacher.

I once got two cards from Siauliai, Lithuania, on the same day. And once I got a card from a person in Russia who told me that two cards on my favourites wall were sent by her sister.

I've had to ask the postcrossing team to help finding the right ID number three times in a row. I hope the team doesn't think I'm bothering them for fun.

Recently I got three great cards from someone with two postcrossing accounts, who had gotten my address for both of her accounts on the same day.

Just a little funny thing:
I was sending a tag card to a Greek user and her name and city name were the same as mine. It was to Elena in Athens from Elena in Athens :)
Of course, my Athens is just a small university town in Georgia state, USA and hers - Athens, Greece.
