Please Put an Inbox on Postcrossing!

I would like to see an inbox for messages on Postcrossing. It becomes very cumbersome to sort through my email for old Postcrossing messages.

I just have a special file for postcrossing messages & I just move the emails to there once I've read them. That way it's only a few messages to sort through.

I have my email set up to filter all mail from Postcrossing into a specific, Postcrossing, folder. That way it's all in one place and it's easy to see when I've got Postcrossing mail waiting. I find this far more convenient than an inbox in Postcrossing would be, as I don't have to actively go to check it, it's just there when I check my emails.

I agree with Serena - that's how do it, too, and this way I can check if I have Postcrossing-related mail without having to go to the site. I think it's fine the way it is.

That way you know who you replied to. It would be amazing if we could reply to the email we get.

I have made a filter that forwards messages from the main site to a certain folder of my email. Also, when sending a message to someone I usually tick the "Check this to receive a copy of the message" box to receive a copy of what I have written. That way I can find all the history of the messages in my email. Anyway, I always check the email first before anything else.

My inbox is set up to filter for Postcrossing and then I separate them into subfolders if I want to keep them especially - i.e. meet-up e-mails.

I totally agree with FullmetalHeart .

I tried to filter my mails with the keyword of 'Postcrossing'. However as the number of people you exchange cards with increases, it gets harder to categorize messages according to users.

So please Postcrossing webside editors, consider this idea!

I also direct my emails to a PostX folder, additionally I load all may cards onto Flickr, mark them "private", and then add the Hurray message as a comment to the uploaded card. Also on Flickr I have a separate folder (set) for each year - 2012, 2013 , etc. further broken down to "sent", and "received" .
That way I can peruse the cards at leisure on screen, and receiver's comments come up with each card.

I would love to have an inbox on the main page. Or at least an option to tell members "hey, I've sent you a message, please check your emails".

When cards are about to expire I often contact the user and sometimes offer a replacement card in case the card hasn't arrived yet, but in about 50% I don't hear back from them. I have the impression that those members don't check the emails of that particular email account they use for postcrossing.

I totally agree with FullmetalHeart.
I just signed up for postcrossing and in the beginning was looking all over for an inbox. Till I had the idea to check the FAQ. ;)
And to be honest I was really astonished to find out that there is none. :o

It would make the communication between members so much easier if you could reply directly to a message.
Hopefully there will be an Inbox soon.
