Registering cards one year later

Due to some unforeseen health issues I had to stop with Postcrossing for a while. I have recently again picked up my favourite hobby and I found a card that I had failed to register at the time. It has been a year already, so there is no way for me to register the card anymore. It's a shame, I think, and I wonder if there is any reason why cards cannot be registered anymore after a year.

You can't register it after a year as the information has been deleted from the database.
Perhaps since the person never recieved a postcard (since you didn't register one) if you can determine who the member is you could ask them for their address and send them a card.

Hi Lynda,

Yeah, I figured so much. I was just curious if there is any reason to do this, as registered cards are saved much longer than one year.
